Clearly MS Teams is the worst ‘meeting’ software available. Any other software is way better, even Webex. Use Zoom it works for everyone Smeenex Mar 15 It still doesn’t support M1 natively?

Really Good! Awful, Awful. Only good way to use it is as a Edge PWA. Lvdoc Nov 14 Your computer will no longer enter vapor lock in the middle of an important meeting. I don’t know why Teams is so processor-heavy, but my macbook sounds like it’s going to take off every time I use it. Gazman Apr 28 It’s so disappointing, in this day and age of remote learning and working from home, that Miicrosoft Teams is such a cludgy piece of software. The Office apps and Todo are all Mac native and are much improved, but I only use Teams because I’m forced to by my work environment.

I cannot express how much I detest MS Teams. Horrible, unreliable, capricious, ugly, sluggish, battery-hogging, overcomplicated, bloated piece of garbage. No fast user switching! Hangs all the time, often cant even force-quit. The iOS version is much better as it’s a native app. This is a browser wrapper for a web-based app which is why it’s so bad.

For an app that is so central to the MS universe it is unforgivable to fob us off with this pathetic apology for an app. Even though my corporate environment forces me to use it I bought a licence for zoom instead. Just a nightmare to use on a mac. Never had an application before which drains you battery this much. As soon as a teams meeting is started your fan starts blowing without stopping and your macbook heats up. BobK1 Oct 16 Battery-hogging slag. Notifications are inconsistent.

John-Canning Sep 30 I only used Microsoft Teams for one meeting. The sound and video were both high quality, although the video often lagged behind the audio. The program felt sluggish. I hope I don’t have to use it again. I can’t get in the program, which is very disappointing. Terrible use of CPU. Overheats my laptop and sucks battery within 5 minutes of use on video chats.

Where are preferences? Not where they are supposed to be. Safety starts with understanding how developers collect and share your data. Data privacy and security practices may vary based on your use, region, and age. The developer provided this information and may update it over time.

This app may share these data types with third parties Personal info. This app may collect these data types Location, Personal info and 9 others. Data is encrypted in transit. You can request that data be deleted. I love the concept of this app, and there are lots of things about it that are wonderful.

There are a few key issues however that undermine the experience. Mainly, I simply cannot get notifications to work. I suspect the Team’s team is getting this feedback a lot because they have a lot of FAQs on how to turn notifications on, but mine are most certainly turned on, and I do not get notifications of new messages. UI clarity around when a message is sent is also poor.

So far, so good! Been using it for about a month. User friendly. Update: Have been using this since the beginning of the pandemic for work frequent daily use. Chat, video, voice features have all been reliable and user-friendly.

My team is always just a click away and we’re able to stay communicative. Recent update makes the app break frequently. When opening the app, there’s a loading screen screen saying “Managed by your organization” that often never finishes. I have to force close the app several times before it goes through. If I’m on a meeting and it happens, I won’t be able to use the rest of Teams until I’m off the call.
